This policy explains what camtocam.cam collects, what it refuses to collect, and the control you have over all of it. Plain English first, fine print kept to a minimum.

1The short version

CamMeet runs on as little data as the product can survive on. We collect the technical and usage information a live matching service needs, nothing from your camera or microphone is recorded, and you can have your data deleted by asking once.

2What we collect

Three groups, nothing more:

  • Device and technical data — browser type and version, operating system, screen size, and a rough region derived from your IP address so matching can keep calls fast
  • Usage data — pages you visit, buttons you tap, how many matches you start, how long sessions last, and crash reports when something breaks
  • Optional account information — if you choose to create an account, the email address you give us and your coin balance and preferences
  • Support correspondence — the messages you send us and our replies, so follow-ups have context

3What we do not collect

We do not ask for your real name, home address or phone number. We do not read your contact list, we do not request precise GPS location, and we have no access to the photos or files on your device. Most importantly: the video and audio of your calls are not recorded, stored or reviewed.

4Your camera and your calls

Calls on CamMeet run over WebRTC, a peer-to-peer connection between the two browsers in the room. The streams travel between you and your match; they are not saved on our side. To be precise about what does exist: the product keeps a call history list of your recent matches — a record that a session happened, never what was said or shown in it. Deleting your account removes that history with everything else.

5Cookies

We use a small set of cookies: session cookies that keep a match running and remember you between pages, preference cookies for settings like language, and analytics cookies described below. Your browser can block or clear cookies at any time; the site still works for matching, though some preferences will not stick.

6Third-party analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand, in aggregate, which pages people use and where they get stuck. These tools see page views and interaction patterns — never the content of your calls. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle data on their side, and both offer opt-outs on their sites.

7Your choices and deletion rights

You can use CamMeet as a guest with no account at all. If you created an account, you can delete it yourself from settings or by emailing [email protected] — we treat deletion requests as urgent and answer within 48 hours. Deletion is permanent: your profile, history and any remaining coins are removed and cannot be restored. A narrow slice of security and anti-abuse logging is retained briefly where the law requires it, then discarded.

8Changes and questions

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with the date at the top updated. Material changes get a notice on the site. Questions about anything here go to [email protected] or the contact page.
